Brave New World — Aldous Huxley
Novel

Never got around to it somehow. Finally starting now — better late than never.

Poetry — Radmila Petrović
Poetry

A young Serbian poet I've fallen completely in love with. Something about her voice feels both ancient and urgent.

The Moonlight Sonata — Yiannis Ritsos
Poetry

Always returning, always finding something new. I wish I could read it in Greek — I suspect something beautiful gets lost in translation.

The Creative Act: A Way of Being — Rick Rubin
Audiobook

Kept postponing it. Eventually decided to listen rather than read — something about that felt more honest for this book. Still in it. Wanted to revisit how artists think about making things. Will report back.

Woman in the Dunes — Hiroshi Teshigahara
Film · 1964

One of my favorite recent discoveries. The kind of film that stays with you in a physical way — you feel the sand.

The Color of Pomegranates — Sergei Parajanov
Film · 1969

A college favorite I keep coming back to. Less a film, more a series of paintings that somehow breathe.

Wind, Talk to Me — Stefan Đorđević
Film

Beautiful and moving.

Bugonia — Yorgos Lanthimos
Film

The acting was extraordinary. Lanthimos doing what he does — making the absurd feel completely inevitable.

What design authorship looks like when agents can execute
If an agent can build the thing, the designer's value shifts entirely to taste, judgment, and knowing what question to ask. Still working out what that means in practice.
Brand as the last human signal
When everything is AI-generated and moving fast, a strong and coherent brand might be the clearest way to communicate that humans with taste are still behind something.

Figuring out how to show who I am, not just what I've done.

Creative coding experiments in p5.js and three.js
The Garden

Trying to make things that couldn't exist without both design thinking and code. Still figuring out what that actually means.

A creative environment in AI that actually values design thinking
Somewhere that's growing, thoughtful, and not just moving fast for the sake of it. If that sounds like where you work, I'd love to talk.
Designer friends in San Francisco
Genuinely. Say hello.
